Fished Pass Lake, first time in 2019. Got there about 3 pm. Almost everyone were leaving for the day. Good bug hatches until 6 pm when I left too. Caught one really nice rainbow, about 20 inches. Jumped 3 times and took me to my backing. Continues to be fewer fish being caught based on feedback from the guys I talked to. Still a nice day on the lake!

I have been fishing Pass Lake pretty consistently the past 2 weeks. Different times, different areas. Have drug buggers, boobies and Hale Bops mostly. Sinking line, have caught a few, good fish but not many. Switched 2 days ago to indicating. First time caught 2 fish in 5 minutes on a black and white snow cone. Nothing after that, while everyone around me was getting fish after fish. Tried chromies and blood worms, nada. Not sure, guess just not my lucky days. Anyone have good clues?
Thanks for the report, Bob. I’m glad you took the chance on the lake. As you say, it’s not a producer of high numbers of fish (normally), but those you catch are of nice size. What fly were you using, and how/where were you fishing?
