Matt Zupich, Natural Resource Planner for the Whidbey Island Conservation District hosted a stakeholder meeting to kick off the algae management project for Lone Lake. I wasn't there myself, but I received a copy of Matt's email to the attendees and a PDF version of the PowerPoint presentation he made. Following is the body of his email and a link to the presentation.
"Hello Lone Lake stakeholders,
We had a great meeting last night at the Deer Lagoon Grange Hall to discuss the grant project Whidbey Island Conservation District has taken on to develop a Lone Lake Algae Management Plan. About 30 people showed up with a lot of interest and excellent feedback and questions. During the meeting, attendees requested I send out a PDF version of the PowerPoint that I presented; please see the attached document.
I’ve also set up a project webpage on the WICD website where you can find more information about the project. I plan to use this webpage as a place to post updates and other information as the project progresses. I envision sending out an email to let you know when new information has been posted. Here’s a link to the page: https://www.whidbeycd.org/lone-lake-algae-management.html.
Please feel free to contact me with any input or questions you may have regarding this project, or if you’d like to be taken off this email list. Thank you for your interest and participation.
Best regards,
Matt Zupich
